Deputy Minister of Finance Ilya Trunin will oversee not only the issues of tax policy as its predecessor. He will deal with legal regulation of customs, as well as the alcohol market. This is reported in the Monday, February 15, RIA Novosti reported with reference to the Ministry of Finance.
Trunin was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance February 13 order of the government. He replaced the departed Sergei Shatalov retirement, resignation which took place on 15 January 2016. Shatalov was in charge of tax and customs tariff policy.
According to Forbes information Ilya Trunin 39 years. He is a native of Ryazan. In 1998 he graduated from the Finance Academy under the Russian specialty “World Economy” government. December 2006 was a research fellow and head of the Laboratory of the Institute of Economy in Transition. Since December 2006, he headed the Department of tax and customs tariff policy of the Ministry of Finance.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin in mid-January, the Ministry of Finance transferred the leadership of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) and the Federal Service for Alcohol Market Regulation (Rosalkogolregulirovanie). Before that the two agencies were directly subordinate to the Russian government. The presidential decree states that the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Finance are now not only the Federal Tax Service, Federal Service for Financial and Budget Supervision (Rosfinnadzor) and Federal Treasury, and the Federal Customs Service and Rosalkogolregulirovanie.
