Prosecutor General of Armenia initiated a criminal case in connection with the protest action in Yerevan. This was reported in the press-service agency, reports Armenian News – NEWS.am.
A criminal case was opened under Part 1 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism, violating public order). The article provides for a fine of 50 thousand. AMD or arrest for up to a year.
Protesters carried a three-day sit-in at Freedom Square since June 19, and on June 22 headed to the presidential administration. The protesters demanded to cancel the new tariffs for electricity. The demonstration was attended
