IMF: Ukraine’s economy in 2015 will drop to minus 9% – Sight

The forecast of economic development of Ukraine in 2015 was reduced to minus 9%, inflation at the end of the year will amount to 46%, in Kiev, said the head of IMF mission Nikolay Georgiev.

«The mission reviewed growth forecast for 2015 downwards to minus 9 percent and inflation forecasts for the end of the year at a rate of 46 percent, “- quoted him as saying TASS referring to the press service of the Fund.

Georgiev said that inflation was mainly due to the effects of the strong devaluation of the national currency in February, as well as rising energy prices.

The Ukrainian government for the second tranche of the IMF in mid-June should resolve the issue of restructuring the external public debt, the amount of which exceeds 18 billion dollars.

According to the former minister on the eve of income and charges of Ukraine Alexander Klimenko, the total debt of Ukraine, that is, the state and business, to foreign creditors amounts to little more than 126 billion dollars. “In terms of every Ukrainian, including elderly and children, should be 993 dollars to foreign creditors,” – said the ex-minister.

As they say the Western media, the conflict in the South East of Ukraine put Kiev on the brink of bankruptcy. The Ukrainian government is unable to pay the foreign debt. The administration is forced to ask the IMF for financial assistance and the Western countries, with most of this money goes to military expenditure or assigned.

So, in April, during an inspection of a military unit in Ukraine revealed embezzlement in the amount of about 133 ths. dollars.

As reported in late March, powered Ukrainian servicemen in the current year will not suffice about 677 million hryvnia (about 29 million dollars).

According to presidential adviser Yuri Biryukov , dry rations, which feeds Ukrainian troops in the area of ”special operations”, do not meet the standards, they lack vitamins, because of the military rations teeth fall out.
