Medvedev instructed to monitor the prices of food market

January 8, 2015 g, taking in Gorki Agriculture Minister Nikolai Fyodorov, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed to closely monitor the situation in the Russian food market, avoiding unjustified price increases on food. The Prime Minister stressed that food inflation has recently risen excessively.

Including the rise in prices is due to the depreciation of the ruble, as well as a number of other objectives related reasons, reports TASS Medvedev’s words, noting that even a record harvest of 2014 could not stop the food inflation. In the metropolitan area the pressure on prices is stronger than at the periphery.

Medvedev ordered the cooperation of retailers, suppliers of goods and farmers themselves, which together must ensure that speculative and unjustified price increases on food. Control the actions of all counterparties have FAS, drawing, if necessary, law enforcement agencies, governors and the Ministry of Agriculture.
