First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Igor Shuvalov after the meeting of the President with cabinet members reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin generally endorsed the anti-crisis measures proposed by the government.

The implementation of anti-crisis measures for the Russian economy could cost 1,375 trillion rubles., which will be allocated from the federal budget and the National Welfare Fund (NWF). Amendments to the budget will be developed by the end of February on the basis of the new macroeconomic forecast, which will prepare the Ministry of Economy, by 1 February. By February 16 in all regions of Russia should start working crisis management committee.
