->

Moscow, August 6, 2015, 11:44 – REGNUM The Russian government officially opposed the draft law, which gives prosecutors the right to receive from banks information on accounts and transactions made by their owners, without a court order. Write about it “Izvestiya”, referring to the official review of the Russian government on the bill.

As explained in the Cabinet, according to current regulations Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika and now can handle such requests to the bank, and the empowerment of ordinary prosecutors violates the constitutional rights of citizens.

The official withdrawal of the Cabinet states that “the provision of the prosecution, not performing investigative actions, the right to obtain the relevant data from the banks for the sole purpose of prosecutorial supervision is unfounded, since the expansion of the list of persons, entitled to receive information constituting bank secrecy, may lead to the discrediting of the institute of banking secrecy, as well as create prerequisites for violation of the Constitution of Russia ».

Recall that the bill was drafted and submitted for consideration to the State Duma deputies Yuri Sinel’shchikova (CPRF), Nikolai Makarov, Vladimir Ponevezhskim (both from the “United Russia”) and Alexander Tarnavskiy (“Fair Russia”) in autumn 2014 г.
