The dollar crossed the mark of 62 rubles – BBC News

The dollar on the Moscow Stock Exchange crossed the mark of 62 rubles, despite the rise in oil prices. As the agency Bloomberg, the excess of the cost of North Sea Brent crude on the US WTI crude oil at auction on Friday reached 12.21 dollars.

According to “Interfax” the press service of the Bank of Russia, the official exchange rate of the US dollar against the ruble, announced by the Bank of Russia from February 28 is 61.2718 rubles per usd. Thus, the value of the ruble denominated in US dollars, compared with the previous day decreased by 0,92%.

The official exchange rate of the euro against the ruble, announced by the Bank of Russia from February 28 is 68.6857 rubles per eur. Thus, the value of the ruble denominated in euros, compared with the previous day increased by 0,43%.

According to Tass, the dollar against the ruble on the Moscow Stock Exchange to date increased by 88 cents, compared with the previous closing and reached 62.03 rubles. The euro exchange rate against the ruble rose to 1.02 rubles to 69.63 rubles.

In the course of yesterday’s trading on the Moscow stock exchange rate of the dollar fell below 60 rubles for the first time since January 9, while the euro fell to 68 rubles for the first time December 30, 2014.
