Russia may soften grocery embargo – Ekho Moskvy radio station

It is now possible for this scheme worked out, said a spokesman for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.

Moscow is considering options for international cooperation, which involves the supply of raw materials to our country for processing in the Russian food industry. So the authorities responded to a public request by the Government of Greece. Last weekend, Athens urged the Russian leadership to lift the ban on the supply of certain agricultural products – primarily fruits, because of the embargo, they actually are rotting in warehouses. In an interview with the newspaper “Izvestia” Dmitry Peskov said that Russia can not make an exception for one of the countries of the European Union, but is ready to consider other formats of cooperation. “In this case, could not work out a scheme of direct supplies, and supplies raw materials supplied for investments here in Russia in the creation of food processing plants,” – said a spokesman for Vladimir Putin. However, experts refer to this idea with considerable skepticism, because if the owner of t he tolling scheme supply of raw materials, in the end, still has to take out a revised product abroad back home.

According to some experts, correct Russian embargo can be another way. For example, to lift the ban on the delivery is not with individual countries, and with specific groups of companies and corporations that invest in Russia.
