The question of raising the retirement age was echoed at the next meeting with President Vladimir Putin. This is the media said the ex-Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, who participated in the meeting.
According to Kudrin, Putin did not “to sum up the final line” , and instructed to examine this issue at the expert level, and then move it to “to the level of government workers formats” .
The theme of raising the retirement age has reappeared on the agenda for discussion of the background of the package of anti-crisis measures of the government. So, the meeting also discussed the reform of the budget system, the reform of public administration. However, the range of problems that have been identified for decisions concerning not only the anti-crisis program, but also the necessary structural reforms in the country in the medium and long term.
We also note that the issue of raising the retirement age this year rises more. Thus, the Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev said that Russia will inevitably come to an increase in the retirement age, it supports and Finance Minister Anton Siluanov who believes this measure is economically justified.
Let us recall that at the moment the retirement age in Russia is to women 55 years for men – 60 years. Expected to increase the retirement age to 63 years, regardless of gender.
