The war sanctions aimed at Russian European countries for … you know, that was the rather strong challenge for both sides. After all, Russia is not left standing on the sidelines. She immediately launched retaliatory sanctions on virtually the entire Western import.
But the remaining territories to which the Russian sanctions have not spread. We are talking about the Faroe Islands, which, though a territory controlled by Denmark, because of its position, as well as local government are not included in the area of the European Union. In addition, they are very close to Russia.
As a result, these islands were suddenly the only (!) Possible supplier in the Russian salmon. Convenient location for Russian islands gives them excellent representatives – the ability to deliver to Russia fresh and frozen fish. And do it – as soon as possible!
Only from September to December last year, the supply of fresh salmon from the Faroe Islands to th e Russian Federation increased by 35%. Total for some 4 months in Russia was brought to the realization of a huge volume of fish. The total amount of supplies little not reached to 80 million dollars.
