The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has said it will go to court if the mobile operators will raise prices for roaming. This was stated by the head of the antitrust agency Igor Artemyev.
Recall that in December 2014, FAS sent a letter to the “MTS”, “MegaFon” and “VimpelCom” (“Beeline” brand) with a proposal to reduce tariffs for voice international roaming in 3-4 times.
«We believe that, despite the fall of the ruble, are great opportunities to reduce, not increase,” – said Artemev, quoted by “Interfax”.
«If companies start to improve physically, we will start an investigation and will try to prove this truth to them in the courts,” – he said. To this end, local operators have to reduce prices.
The other major operators also announced changes since the end of February 2015. Increasing prices and services, for example, to limit the traffic of mobile internet. “Beeline” increases the prices of a number of international destinations from February 26.
