Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev signed a decree on the establishment of joint-stock company “GLONASS”, reports January 3 press service of the Russian government, with 100 percent of the shares of the company “GLONASS” is federal property.
It is envisaged the introduction of state automated information system “ERA-GLONASS” commercial operation with January 1, 2015.
The document notes that the Ministry of Transport requested to provide to the Company “GLONASS” implementation of state policy aimed at the development of the “ERA-GLONASS” and its use for the benefit of other information and navigation systems and the systems created by the federal executive bodies and organizations.
