Imports from other countries in August decreased by 15.6%. – Peasant Gazette

In August 2014 the value of imports of goods to Russia from foreign countries amounted to 20.478 billion dollars, compared to July decreased by 15.6%, according to provisional data of the Federal Customs Service (FCS).

In January-August this year, imports fell by 4.4% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 170.176 billion dollars, according to the site office ..

In the FCS note that imports of engineering products decreased by 19.7% and amounted to 9.8 million dollars of food products and raw materials for their production – by 13.1% to $ 2.4 million, chemical products – 12 , 2% to $ 3.5 million, textiles and footwear – by 3.3% to $ 1.6 million.

In the group of foodstuffs and raw materials for their production of vegetable imports declined by 73.2 %, dairy products – by 56.1%, cereals – by 37.9%, vegetables – by 32.4%, fish – by 27.3%, meat and by-products – by 17.4% (decline was due to reduction in the import of pork by 44.2% and poultry – by 45,6%).

While the value of the importation of vegetable oil in August this year increased by 62.5%, sugar – 34.3 %, tobacco – by 17.9%, alcoholic and soft drinks – by 3,3%.

Imports of chemical industry decreased by reducing the procurement of pharmaceutical products by 16.5%, polymers and rubber – 13.1%, perfume and beauty products – by 10.0%, products of organic and inorganic chemistry – by 9.2%. While the import of soaps and detergents has not changed.
