Novak: The debt of Belarus for Russian gas has reached $ 270 million – Rosbalt.RU

During the first half of 2016 the debt of Belarus for Russian gas was $ 270 million. This was stated by Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, reports Reuters.

“Our position is: the debts that now … accumulated, must be repaid. Over half of the debt of Belarus to the Belarusian “daughter” of Gazprom (MCX: GAZP) is $ 270 million “, – said Novak

.
Minsk from Moscow is seeking to reduce the price of gas up to $ 73 per 1,000 cubic meters, and the differences between the parties led to the fact that the Russian Federation has reduced in the third quarter of the quota for the supply of oil to Belarus by nearly 40 percent.

According to the Minister of Energy, the negotiations between Russia and Belarus on the return of the debt for gas will continue in the near future. “Dana’s orders in the next few days to continue negotiations and compromise”, – said the Minister of Energy

.
In addition, the minister announced yet another contentious issue with Belarus – the price of oil delivered from Russia. Novak said that Russian companies are in talks with Belneftekhim about processing. “Negotiations are complicated because of the need to negotiate the price of the processing as well as oil products output value”, – he added

.
The Minister noted that the volume and conditions of supply of Russian oil to Belarusian refineries will be announced the results of negotiations between Minsk and Moscow.
