MOSCOW, May 22 – RIA Novosti Federal service for six months had more than 1.7 thousand unscheduled inspections under the control of the execution of the ban on travel companies selling tours to Turkey, the press-service agency on Sunday “in the period from December 2015 on 13 May 2016 Rospotrebnadzor on the subjects of the Russian Federation was carried out over 1.7 thousand unscheduled inspections, made more than 160 definitions of instituting administrative proceedings, compiled 240 reports on administrative offenses”, – said in a statement .

The department added that continue to control the possible sale of tourist trips to Turkey via the Internet.

Earlier, the Ministry of Tourism of Turkey reported that, in general, for the first quarter of this year the number of foreign tourists in the country decreased from 4.5 to 4.1 million, or 10.3%, revenues from tourism during this period decreased by 16,5%.
