Photographs from US satellites have not detected the explosion on board the missing A320 – RBC

An analysis of photographs taken by American satellites, has not confirmed the version of the explosion on board disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea and Aircraft EgyptAir airline. It is reported by Reuters, citing sources in several US agencies.

Agency interlocutors explained that this conclusion is the result of a preliminary study of satellite images. According to them, at the moment the US authorities do not rule out any possible causes of the crash, including mechanical damage, act of terrorism, or deliberate actions of the pilot and crew.

Earlier that crash, most likely associated with terrorist attack, said the director of the Federal Security Service of Russia Alexander Bortnikov. Minister of Civil Aviation of Egypt Sherif Fathi also told reporters that the version of the attack looks more convincing than the possibility of technical problems. He noted that he came to this conclusion “on the basis of the information received and our own experience».

A320 on EgyptAir Airlines, flying from Paris to Cairo, disappeared from radar screens early in the morning on 19 May. On board were 66 people, including 30 Egyptian citizens and 15 citizens of France. Referring to the information received by the French authorities, President Francois Hollande said the missing plane crashed.

The Ministry of Defense of Greece said that before disappearing from the radar aircraft made a series of sharp maneuvers, including a turn of 360 degrees.
