Russia’s budget deficit exceeded one trillion rubles – BFM.Ru

The federal budget deficit by 24 March amounted to 1.2 trillion rubles. This was stated by Chairman of the Accounts Chamber Tatyana Golikova, reports Tass. For comparison, last year’s budget at the end of the same period recorded a surplus. Golikova said that the emergence of the deficit is due to a decrease in revenue due to lower oil prices. March 16 the Ministry of Finance submitted to the State Duma amendments to the budget in 2015. Government revenues amount to 12.54 trillion rubles, expenses – 15.22 trillion. The deficit reaches 2.68 trillion rubles, or 3.7 percent of GDP.
