On a background of falling demand, in Vsevolozhsk reduced production of Ford Focus in Ford Sollers (a joint venture of the American company Ford and Russia’s Sollers).
Kaluga plant Vokswagen cut 150 people, and in May will set a two-shift schedule (before it was three-shift), Friday is a day off.
March 18 American concern General Motors (GM) has stopped production for an indefinite period: by June 2015 a plant in St. Petersburg will be preserved. By decision of the GM, the Russian market will take the brand Opel, as well as all the mass model Chevrolet.
Kaluga plant “PSMA Rus” (a joint venture of concern Peugeot Citroen and Japan’s Mitsubishi) also forced from April 27 to July 10 suspend production cars Citroen C4 Sedan and Peugeot 408. However, the production SUV Mitsubishi Outlander and Pajero Sport will be only partially covered – from April 27 to May 12.
