The Government may authorize the sale of alcohol on the Internet – says TASS referring to the Director General of the Committee of Alcohol Producers (ABC) Alexandra Romanov.
 



 Earlier it was reported that Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev instructed the department (Rosalkogolregulirovanie – Roem) develop mechanisms to regulate and control the remote sale of alcohol. Romanov explained that it is about creating virtual stores registry of legal alcohol.
 

According to him, Rosalkogolregulirovanie plans to make to the registry only businesses that have a license for the retail or wholesale sale of alcohol, and will select the license in the event of violations of the legislation of the Russian Federation.
 

Romanov noted that the implementation of alcohol via the Internet will be made only by credit cards. “Credit cards are not issued to minors”, – he explained. Romanov said that the time of payment by credit card can be traced, it will not allow the couriers to implement alcohol at night (Federal Law № 171 from 23.00 to 8.00 local time).
 

Distance Selling alcohol is forbidden in Russia since 2007. Advertising on the Internet and print media – in 2013.
