Gosaviasluzhba Ukraine enters a special mode of transit flights through Ukrainian airspace for some Russian airlines, according to the Ministry of Infrastructure of the state.
Mode will act today, August 15 from 20:00 Moscow time (21:00 MSK). Special mode affect airline “Transaero” and “Aeroflot”, who fly from Russia to Bulgaria, Israel, Turkey, Egypt and Greece in transit through the airspace of Ukraine. Now these carriers will be able to cross Ukrainian territory only after obtaining permission from the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine. To obtain a permit to be for each flight separately. “The measures are introduced, will ensure the necessary level of security by streamlining the procedure for transit through Ukraine by those airlines that violate the rules for carrying out flights over the territory of Crimea”, – said the ministry.
Recall that Russia August 7 Ukrainian airlines banned transit routes through its territory in a number of countries.
