MOSCOW, January 22 – RIA Novosti. Russian Ministry of Finance is confident that he can recover from the Ukraine the full amount of the debt on Eurobonds, which is 3.075 billion dollars, as well as to recover the costs associated with filing a claim in the international Court, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov.
“At present the preparatory work for the submission of the claim to the Ukraine. We are confident that will be able to recover from the debtor the entire amount of the debt on eurobonds, as well as the costs associated with filing action “- said Siluanov journalists.
Russia is currently preparing for the court case on the debt of Ukraine. The Finance Ministry bought at the expense of the National Welfare Fund biennial Ukrainian Eurobonds in late 2013. Ukraine properly serviced the debt until December 2015, after which Kiev imposed a moratorium on the payment of the last coupon for $ 75 million and the repayment of the entire amount of the debt.
At the same time Kiev has committed itself not to agree to the restructuring of Russian debt conditions are better than have been proposed previously to private creditors. Russia insists on the fact that the debt of Ukraine is a sovereign and international regulations can not be restructured under the same conditions as the commercial debt.
“Ukraine adopted a domestic law prohibiting repayment of debt to the Russian Federation. However, this law does not affect our right to receive in full due on Eurobonds, “- said Siluanov.
