MOSCOW, January 23 – RIA Novosti. Trade Minister of Iran Mohammad Reza Nematzade (Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh) has ordered a ban on re-export of Turkish goods to Russia, said on Saturday the Iranian IRNA news agency referring to the agency.
The appropriate action is taken to protect producers against the backdrop of Iran’s strained relations between Turkey and Russia, said the representative of the Iranian Ministry of Trade.
“Re-export of Turkish goods by Iranian traders are against the common export rules Iran,” – said in a statement citing the official representative of the department.
He said that Iranian manufacturers have to use good relations between Tehran and Moscow for export manufactured in Iran of the goods.
In connection with the introduction of the Russian special economic measures against Turkey Rosselkhoznadzor previously requested Iran information on issued phytosanitary certificates and authorization certificates conducted by the Russian side to January 2016. In mid-January, Rosselkhoznadzor said it had received assurances from Iran’s intention to take all possible measures to prevent the import of banned Turkish products under the guise of Iran to the Russian market.

After the incident, Russia has imposed a number of special economic measures against Turkey.
