Iran Trade Promotion Organization (Jost) banned Iranian companies to re-export Turkish products in Russia through Iran.
“In accordance with the decree of the Minister of Trade of Iran Mohammad Reza Nematzade, Jost has banned Iranian companies to re-export Turkish products in Russia through Iran,” – said the deputy director of the organization Modammad Movadvadi Reza, quoted by IRNA.
According to him, the Iranian manufacturers have to use good relations between Tehran and Moscow for the export of goods manufactured in Iran.
“Re-export of Turkish goods by Iranian traders go against common export regulations of Iran,” – said in a statement.
Russia imposed economic sanctions against Turkey after the end of November 2015 the Turkish-Syrian border was hit by a bomber Su-24. Under these sanctions, in particular, it had banned the import of a number of product categories. The ban, which came into effect on January 1, in particular, were almost all fruits, some vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, cauliflower and broccoli), as well as turkey and chicken, salt and Sweet William.
