The International Monetary Fund provided a statement on the situation in Ukraine – Kommersant

Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Christine Lagarde presented a statement on Ukraine. Among the Ukrainian authorities to set objectives, Ms. Lagarde has allocated $ 15.3 billion savings in the public sector, reducing public debt to a level of not higher than 71% of GDP by 2020, as well as maintaining the general financing needs of the budget on debt transactions at an average of 10% of GDP in 2019-2025, respectively. “In order to ensure economic and financial stability, these goals should be achieved by maintaining a strong position in international reserves in the medium term” – Christine Lagarde pointed out.

The International Monetary Fund has promised not to deny Ukraine It helps, even if the government fails to reach an agreement on debt restructuring with other creditors. IMF – one of the largest creditors of the country.
