Moscow, June 17, 2015, 11:29 – REGNUM The Financial Times on June 17 published a ranking of the most expensive cities in the world, which annually is an international consulting company Mercer. This year Moscow has left the top ten – the Russian capital took 50th place, losing just 41 points. In 2013, Moscow was one of the leaders, finishing in second place.

According to the authors of material, Moscow dropped out of the top ten most expensive cities in the world because of the collapse of the ruble and the overall negative impact of sanctions on the Russian economy. A total of 200 cities in the ranking are displayed. Mercer builds its rating on the basis of the standard of living and prices in New York, comparing with the New York price of housing, transport, food, clothing, entertainment in other cities.
