IMF denies blocking the compromise proposal of the head of the European Commission of Greece – Kommersant

The International Monetary Fund denied that blocked the proposal of the Head of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker on Greek debt, according to “RIA Novosti “referring to the German agency DPA. “Material with an anonymous source, which appeared in several German publications on the role of the IMF and the position of Managing Director on the primary surplus in the negotiation of the Greek assistance program – not true,” – said spokesman Jerry Rice Fund.

Earlier, the German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, citing unnamed sources, reported that the IMF rejected a new proposal of the European Commission head Jean-Claude Juncker on the debt problems of Greece. Under the proposal, which Mr Juncker allegedly made Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, Greece will postpone the reduction in pension benefits if would cut military spending by the same amount – € 400 million. According to the newspaper, the IMF did not support this decision.
