Over 70% of Russians said about the crisis in the Russian economy – RBC

The majority of Russians (77%) agree that the country is now the economic crisis, according to a survey conducted by the Levada Center.

In comparison with the December index of the percentage of those who believe in the crisis of Russian citizens has decreased by 5 pp (c 82%). In addition, an increasing number of Russians do not see signs of the crisis – 16% (in December – 12%). Difficult to answer the question about the economic crisis, 7% of respondents.

In the opinion of the respondents acknowledged the existence of the crisis, “it is difficult to say how long it will last and how deep it will be,” (26%). Every fifth respondent sure “duration” of this crisis and the fact that its effects will be visible for another “many years” (21%). Two years of crisis have given 23% of the respondents, and a year and a half – 16%

According to 36% Russians, the prices of goods and services that become their family, compared with prices for the same. period of 2015, the average increased by 15-30%. Feels like 31% of the respondents, the cost of various goods increased by 30-50%. The growth of prices in the 50-100% said 13%.

Asked about major purchases, 22% of respondents who plan to buy something expensive, said they will postpone such purchases for some time, 12 %, on the contrary, will try to quickly make a purchase. Another 19% intend to make major purchases as scheduled.

The poll was conducted June 23-27 among 1,600 people in 137 settlements of 48 Russian regions.

Earlier RANHiGS survey showed that the majority of Russians last 20 years of living in a “prolonged psycho-emotional and social stress.” It was also found that two-thirds of those polled (61.1%) are afraid of losing their jobs.
