In the new ranking, Russia received 29 points, which is two points higher than the level of the previous year. 119 place was her best result since 2012 – when the organization moved to a system stoballnoy rating. The countries with the highest corruption perception proved to North Korea and Somalia. The movement has put them on the 167 th place with a score of 8 points. The TI Corruption is defined as any abuse of power for personal gain. Then, Transparency International findings provoked criticism from the Russian authorities.
