The EU agreed on a third package of aid to Greece – RBC

The third aid package designed for 3 years, reports Bloomberg. During that time, Greece must make the necessary reforms.

The negotiations on providing aid to Greece continued for 6 hours, following which the finance ministers acknowledged the need for money and keeping the country in the euro zone. Formally approve the decision should parliaments of some countries, including Germany.

The EU also expressed the hope that the program of assistance will be attended by the International Monetary Fund. Its head Christine Lagarde attended the meeting via telephone. As a result, it urged the EU to restructure Greek debt.

In turn, chairman of the Eurogroup Jeroen Deyselblum said that the IMF will consider the connection of the third package of financial aid to Greece after the fall of the country’s structural reforms.
