Russia banned the import of sprats from Poland – RBC

When checking agency revealed breaches of the law in the field of consumer protection from the manufacturer “sprats in olive oil” with reduced content of benzo (a) pyrene »Graal SA (Graal SA, ul. Zachodnia 22,84-200 Wejherowo, Poland). This is stated in a report published Thursday on the website of Rospotrebnadzor.

The report notes that we are talking about violations of organoleptic and discrepancies in the information stated on the label in terms of food and energy value as well as the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids.

«Considering the above, Rospotrebnadzor suspended from 08/14/2015 import into the Russian Federation of Polish canned fish – sprat” – the message says.

Information on the decision is aimed at Federal Customs Service and the Office of Rospotrebnadzor subjects of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor banned the import into the Russian canned fish from several Latvian companies, including those from Ventspils fish cannery, OOO “Gamma-A», Sabiedrba IMS, LLC “Und” and Suldusgalaskombinats.

In early June, two decrees Rosselkhoznadzor banned imports of canned fish since 44 Latvian and 31 Estonian enterprises.
