Airport “Kaluga” received international status – Interfax Russia

August 18. Interfax-Russia.ru – Airport “Kaluga”, in May, was put into operation after reconstruction, has received international status.

On Tuesday in Kaluga ceremony of transfer of the corresponding order of the government of the Russian Federation Kaluga Region Governor Anatoly Artamonov, told “Interfax” with ceremony .

“In the Moscow aviation hub in the coming years, airports are overloaded, and the appearance of the airport will improve the transport situation in Moscow and here will fly those passengers who will move then to Moscow, and not only in the Kaluga region” – said Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich journalists.

In turn, the director of the airport Salavat Kutushev noted that the first international flight from the airport will be made in Braunschweig (Germany).

In addition , the airport will serve flights to Prague, Vienna, Paris, Minsk, Yerevan, Dushanbe and Tashkent. Flights to these destinations may start in September this year.

In addition, prior to the beginning of autumn will expand the geography of flights from the airport within the Russian Federation. Thus, the company will start serving flights to Nizhniy Novgorod, Kazan and Saratov. Flights will begin “AviaMenedzhmentGrup” (flying under the brand Dexter).

According S.Kutusheva, for the first two months of the services of the airport “Kaluga” benefited about 4 thousand. People, including residents and closest to Kaluga field regions. It is planned to run special buses to the airport from Tula, Orel and district centers of the Kaluga region.
