Fitch upgraded the long-term rating of Greece to “CCC” – Kommersant

International rating agency Fitch upgraded the long-term rating of Greece by one notch to “CCC” from «CC», said the agency. The agency also upgraded the ratings of Greek government bonds in foreign and local currency to the level «CCC». As analysts Fitch, the agreement reached between Greece and creditors of the third aid program, lowered the probability of default of the country’s private debt.

Recall Greece will receive € 13 billion of the first tranche of a new aid program volume € 86 billion in the coming days: August 14, Eurogroup approved the allocation of money in exchange for the adoption of a long list of obligations, the Greek parliament approved the night before. In addition to the promise of reforms Athens agreed to regular monitoring of the budget and the transfer of state assets to $ 50 billion in a special fund in the management of which the European Commission will be involved. All this, however, does not guarantee that a third program will be the last: According to the IMF, so that the public debt of Greece began to decline, lenders will have to make a partial write-off.
