Inflation in Russia since the beginning of the year reached 8% – Rosbalt.RU

MOSCOW, April 29. Inflation in Russia for the period from 21 to 27 April 2015 was 0.1%, since the beginning of the month – 0.5%, since the beginning of the year – 8%, follows from the report of the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).

A week earlier, consumer prices rose by 0.2%, before – by 0.1%, even earlier – on 0,2%.

In the past year (the reporting period) inflation amounted to beginning of the year of 3.2%, as a whole over the last month – 0,9%.

The annual inflation based on weekly data of Rosstat 27 April slowed to 16.5% from 16.8%.

According to Rosstat, in the reporting week, tea became expensive by 0.7%, canned meat, margarine, sunflower oil, salt, pasta, cookies, caramel and chocolate coated candy – by 0.3-0.4% .

At the same time, the price of eggs decreased by 1.1%, cheese, sugar, rice, millet and buckwheat – by 0,1-0,3%.

Falling prices for fruit and vegetables averaged 0.1%, including cucumbers – 4.4%, tomatoes – 0.5%. However, carrot, onion and fresh cabbage rose by 2,0-3,4%, potatoes – by 0,5%.

The price of gasoline and diesel fuel have not changed.

At the end of February 2015 inflation in Russia was 2.2% compared with the previous month, when it was fixed at 3.9%. In annual terms, inflation in the country reached 16.7% in February, after 15% in January. For the first 2 months of this year, consumer prices rose by 6,2%.

During 2014, consumer prices in the country increased by 11.4%, the highest since 2008. In 2013, inflation in Russia was 6.5%, a year ago she gained 6.6%, and in 2011 was recorded at 6.1%, showing the lowest value since 1991.
