Across Russia started action “George Ribbon” – First Channel

Over 10 years of large-scale patriotic project distributed more than 100 million St. George ribbons. And today, in the streets, in parks, at subway stations people pinned ribbons on his chest as a sign of gratitude to the heroes of World War II, in memory of the Great Victory.

Seeing them in the hands of volunteers, the machine slows down, stop passers-by. 5000 St. George ribbons in Victory Park today went just half an hour.

For 10 years, volunteers have distributed more than 100 million St. George ribbons. If they connect, turn the strip, which would encircle the Earth.
