Order Medvedev on the nomination of the board of directors of “Gazprom” is published on the website of the government.
Total list is 18 people, among them the chairman of “Gazprombank” Andrey Akimov, board member Farid Gazizullin, Board Chairman Alexei Miller and Energy Minister Alexander Novak. About nomination Novak became known on February 5.
From the current members of the Board of Directors the list of candidates were not included deputy chairman Mikhail Sereda and Vitaly Markelov, as well as the rector of State University of Oil and Gas Gubkin, Viktor Martynov. Voting for candidates will be held at the annual meeting of shareholders of “Gazprom” on June 26.
Medvedev in December 2014 stated that the return of the officials on the boards of companies with state participation “at this stage it is expedient.” At the same time Medvedev has called for such a measure time.
Now the board of directors “Gazprom” consists of 11 people. Among them, the Russian president’s special representative for cooperation with GECF Viktor Zubkov and chairman of the Association of Legal Entities “Kazakhstan Association of Oil-Gas and Energy Sector Kazenergy» Timur Kulibayev. Also members of the Board of Directors is the rector of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration Vladimir Mau, Head of the law department of St. Petersburg State University Valery Musin and board member of SC “Vnesheconombank” Andrew Sapelin. Chairman of the Board of Directors is Viktor Zubkov.
At the end of January, it was reported that Novak can also enter the board of directors of “Transneft”. It was also said that the board of directors of “Rosneft” will enter the presidential aide Andrei Belousov.
