The official website of Lenovo been compromised – uinC

On the night of February 26, the official website of Lenovo (lenovo.com) been compromised, the implementation by spoofing DNS-records. For half an hour website visitors redirected to the attacker-controlled server, where they demonstrated a slideshow with photos detained for breaking gaming networks, Microsoft and Sony, members of the hacker group Lizard Squad – Ryan King and Rory Andrew Godfrey. Slide show accompanied by the composition “Breaking Free” from the film “High School Musical.” Responsibility for the hacking took over from fellow prisoners Lizard Squad, report it to one of his Twitter-account. At the time of the substitution DNS-records, hackers managed to intercept a few letters of incoming mail. One reason for hacking the website was the recent announcement of the distribution of promotional applications Superfish, preinstalled on laptops Lenovo. Appendix Superfish performed to collect information about the user, substitute for a dvertising in search results and modify other HTTP-traffic. Several customers, Lenovo has initiated legal proceedings. In turn, representatives of Lenovo announced that they are victims of unfair partners.
