MOSCOW, May 6. Among the 141 countries studied Russian analysts in terms of safety of tourists takes 126 th place.
The top 10 ranking Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index, prepared by the World Economic Forum (WEF), entered Spain, France, Germany, USA, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Italy, Japan and Canada.
In the ranking of competitiveness tourism and travel, our country rose by 18 positions to 45th place.
The strengths of Russia were named its tourism resources: the natural beauty and cultural attractions (34 th and 21 th places respectively) . Also, the forum noted the relatively competitive infrastructure for air transport.
In the ranking of the price competitiveness of the Russian Federation became the 41st. At the same time, pay attention to experts, reduction of travel costs due to the weakening of the ruble in the report are not taken into account.
By the weaknesses of the Russian tourism sector experts attributed lack of infrastructure land and water transport (92 th place) generally unfavorable business climate (109 th) and rigid visa requirements for foreign visitors (120th).
Also, the WEF highlighted the relatively low level of security (126 th), under which Russia located between Myanmar and Venezuela, writes BBC.
