In the first quarter of 2015, Russian banks were given half credit cards than in 2014. This year, the was issued 574 million credit cards in the amount of 27.8 billion rubles, which is 57 700 and 58.2% less than in comparison with the first quarter of 2014, write “News” referring to on the report of the National Bureau of Credit Histories (NBKI).

Last year, the number of issued credit cards reached 1.1-1.3 million cards per quarter. In this regard, the total portfolio of credit card debt fell by 8.8% – from 1.453 trillion rubles to 1.325 trillion.
