MOSCOW, May 18. In Russia and in the countries of Africa have the highest corruption risks for foreign companies. This is according to a sociological survey among business executives published consultancy firm AlixPartners.
For example, 85% of CEOs surveyed believe that their business is exposed to corruption risks. Of these, 22% said that they lost to its competitors because of bribes that get government officials in other countries, according to RFI.
With regard to the geographical component of the spread of corruption in the world, 75% of respondents named Russia as a country with a high corruption component for foreign businesses, 59% mentioned the different African countries, in third place on the corruption risks are China (53%), in the top five also included Brazil (41%) and India (32%).
Among the respondents, 62% of business executives said that in Russia it is impossible to do business without bribes. The same opinion, but for Africa, 53% of respondents share in their core community. However, only 34% of businessmen said that abandoned the business in any country because of problems with corruption.
Research consultancy AlixPartners conducted for the third time. The company says that the business leaders interviewed 20 key sectors of the eight countries of the world. According to a December 2014 rating Transparency International, Russia occupies 136th place in the world ranking of corruption perception.
