A set of products for New Year’s table of Russians rose by 11.8%, reaching 4.5 thousand rubles, according to Dec. 29 “RIA Novosti”. According to Rosstat, the cost of New Year’s table in Moscow will cost about 5.6 thousand rubles, which is 11.3% more than in 2013. In St. Petersburg, a set of products for New Year’s table went up by 12.4% – to 4.03 thousand to 4.5 thousand rubles. The calculation is made on the assumption that in the New Year’s table will hold a family of four. Among the most advancers products: lemons, the cost of which has grown by more than 31%, apples (21%), cheese (18%), tomatoes (37%), potatoes (15%), carrots (14%), chicken (27 %), fish specialties (19%).
