During the works were fully restored historic facade, designed atrium dome is decorated with stained glass. They are filled with acrylic paints scenes from Russian fairy tales. The authors of the stained glass paintings of 1.5 thousand square meters became an artist Pavel Andreev and Elena Markov, use a picture of Ivan Bilibin and Aristarchus Lentulova.

The highlight of the atrium became the largest in the Russian mechanical watch developed at the “Rocket”. During the global reconstruction were preserved all the characteristics of urban building: elevations, silhouette, space-spatial structure, composition and historical function. In this case, after servicing internal usable area increased to 75,000 square meters, of which 34.5 thousand will be given under the outlets. On the roof will be a viewing platform from which to enjoy superb views of the historic center of Moscow. Under the building, in addition to the ground floor, there was an additional level, given over to parking.
Instead of the usual massive entrance doors to the building Dushkin, who previously served as the architectural project orders for subway station, using glass doors in 1956, typical of the metro. Modern restorers have kept even this part for repair. In total, the project was spent eight billion rubles.
According to the project, on the seventh floor is planned to open the Museum of Childhood. The corridors will be equipped with interactive systems for games and children’s education. The owners are going to hold public show for young visitors. Atrium space allows hanging models full size aircraft and conduct cutting-edge light shows.
The main tenant will be the British company Hamleys. She rents a 6.7 thousand square meters in the building of the Central Children’s Store on Lubyanka Square, told reporters Chairman of the Board of Directors of GC Ideas4Retail Evgeni Butman. “This will be the biggest toy store in Russia”, – he said. The total area leased Hamleys at the Lubyanka, will exceed the area of the main company’s store in London, which is “only” 5.5 thousand square meters.
