WTO urges Russia to cancel duties on light trucks – НТВ.Ru

As reported RIA Novosti, the panel of arbitrators of the world trade organization ruled on the claim of the EU to Russia for light commercial vehicles, so as to bring the duties in line with WTO rules.

Maxim Medvedkov, Director of the Department of trade negotiations Ministry of economic development of the Russian Federation: “We do not believe that this decision is quite fair. We are seriously looking for something that can challenge this decision”.

On appeal, the parties have 60 days.

we will Remind, Russia in the Eurasian economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kirizia) imposed anti-dumping duties on light commercial vehicles produced in Turkey, Italy and Germany in 2013. Under these duties came the vans with an engine volume of 3 liters and a weight of 2.8 to 3.5 tons, designed for transportation of up to 2 tons or the combined transport of goods and passengers.

anti-Dumping duties were imposed not only Russia but the whole of the Eurasian economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kirizia), and now the EU looks forward to their total abolition.
