The Ministry of Finance refused to pay for large purchases in cash – Росбалт.RU

Finance Minister Anton Siluanov urged to resume discussions on reduction of cash payments in Russia to improve the tax collection. He stated at the party Congress of “United Russia”.

“Many countries are following this path — especially look at India, there went a large-scale attack on cash payments. It is very correct,” — said Siluanov, his RBC.

According to him, such restriction is an element of “whitewashing the economy”, and “through this tool could collect more taxes, make the economy more transparent.”

At the same time, the Minister proposed a “go slow”, setting to start “a certain level to buy expensive goods”, which cannot be purchased for cash, such as apartments and cars.

Previously, the government of the Russian Federation has already raised the issue of restrictions on cash in circulation, but this topic is “sparked heated debate” in any decisions it was accepted not.
