Tsipras agreed to take almost all the conditions of creditors – RBC

The British newspaper quotes a letter Tsipras that the on Wednesday night sent to the European Commission (EC), European Central Bank (ECB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In a letter contained details the request for a new program of financial assistance amount € 29,1 Bln. Previous program of aid to Greece expired on 30 June. The Greek prime minister said he was willing to take almost all the conditions of creditors, made over the weekend.

Athens would support the changes proposed by the creditors, the VAT system, with one exception: the prime minister of Greece requests that the special benefits for the islands – 30 per cent deduction from VAT.

Speaking of the pension reform, Tsipras asked to allow Greece not to start a program to raise the retirement age to 67 by 2022 to immediately and start the reform in October.

June 26 Athens have suspended negotiations with creditors agreed austerity measures in exchange for the resumption of international financial aid program. Tsipras has announced plans to hold a national referendum on July 5 in the country offers creditors. In response, lenders have announced that expires on 30 June the validity of aid to Greece will not be renewed without the consent of the reform plan in the country.

1 July the IMF has officially confirmed that Greece had failed to pay on time € 1,6 Bln. Overdue payment to the IMF is equivalent to a default, which would be the first in history among the advanced economies.
