WikiLeaks has published secret documents under the Agreement on Trade in Services – RIA Novosti

MOSCOW, May 25 -. RIA Novosti portal WikiLeaks on Wednesday released a new series of secret documents relating to the progress of the negotiations on the conclusion of an Agreement on trade in services (trade in services Agreement, TiSA) between the US, the EU and 22 other countries on whose aggregate accounts for two-thirds of the world’s GDP.

The publication includes first an unknown application to TiSA main chapter on state-owned enterprises. WikiLeaks acts enemy agreement and writes about the unprecedented restrictions that are imposed on state enterprises and forced most of them to act as a private sector enterprises.

Other documents refer to the updated version of the main chapters of TISA, which have been previously published by WikiLeaks. These releases contain information on the progress in the secret negotiations between the parties to the proposed agreement on domestic regulation of trade in services, transparency of electronic trading methods, financial, telecommunications and specialized services. WikiLeaks also published an expert analysis of some of these documents.

The application states that the negotiators managed to get closer to a consensus on the elimination of state control over big corporations. WikiLeaks stresses that the current situation TiSA create for corporations with a wide range of opportunities to challenge government regulation.

As the portal WikiLeaks reported in previous publications under the agreement, participate in the negotiations, other than the United States and European Union countries, 23 WTO members (WTO), including Turkey, Mexico, Canada, Australia, Pakistan, Taiwan and Israel. Taken together, the economies of all these countries account for two-thirds of the world’s GDP. The service sector owns about 80% of the United States and EU member economies. The agreement is part of a strategic agreement on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) and the transatlantic partnership in the field of trade and investment (TTIP).

Agreement on the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TTP) was signed on 5 October. Within its framework it will create a free trade area in the Asia-Pacific region. On the Pacific countries account for 40% of the world economy and a third of world trade. Participants in the agreement -. United States, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Vietnam, and Australia and New Zealand

Since July 2013, the European Union is negotiating the Transatlantic Partnership Agreement to trade and investment (TTIP). It is about creating the world’s largest free trade zone with a consumer market of about 820 million people. In addition to the US and EU countries, the project will include Canada, Mexico, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland, as well as candidate countries for EU membership.
