MOSCOW, May 16 -. RIA Novosti Hall of the Moscow metro station “Prospect Mira”, closed almost a year ago for repairs, opens on Monday after reconstruction and total replacement of escalators, according to the official Metro account in microblog Twitter

Hall station was closed May 30, 2015 for the complete replacement of the escalators installed in 1952:. As previously reported in the press service of the subway, escalators lifetime came to an end. There is also carried out major repairs of the lobby, upgraded ticket hall, replaced the utilities and underground devices, cabling, plumbing and air communication.

It was originally planned that the lobby will open exactly one year later – May 30, 2016. However, the work was completed before and lobby work again as usual on May 16.
