In February, IMF chief Christine Lagarde warned the Ukrainian government about the possible termination of the program of assistance the country. According to her, the IMF is concerned about the slow progress of Ukraine in improving governance, fighting corruption and reducing the influence of vested interests on the policy.
Following the statements, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko assured Lagarde that reforms in the country will continue in spite of the political crisis.
