 The presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko approved the list of the documents following a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State. The package of 13 documents concerned, in particular, the results of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries last year, as well as plans for the current year

Among the other decisions taken -. Questions about the implementation of the program for concerted action in the field of foreign policy States Parties to the Treaty establishing the Union state for 2014-2015 and the program of concerted actions in the field of external policies of the Parties to the Treaty establishing the Union state for 2016-2017, as well as the planning of the use of the regional group of forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

In addition, Belarus. and Russia adopted the Union state budget in the amount of more than 6 billion Russian rubles. The president of Belarus said that a large part of the budget provided for the financing of joint programs and activities in the key areas of cooperation between Belarus and Russia.

The heads of state also approved a decision on the Secretary of State of the Union State, the main issues for the meetings of the Supreme State Council for 2016 , on the implementation of priority directions and priorities for the further development of the Union state in the medium term (2014-2017 years).

The leaders also endorsed the decision to award the Union state awards in the field of literature and art for 2015-2016 years.
