Russia in 2016 is very likely to expect the economic downturn. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich at the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev said that the Russian economy has emerged from recession.
“By definition, a recession – this is when there is two consecutive quarters of decline. In this sense, the recession was over, it does not exist “, – he explained

Ulyukayev also said that in December, with the purified seasonality decline in GDP was 0.1% in relation to November. “There is a smoothing of the recession, I think that it will be completed in the near future”, – said the Minister

Prior to that, Ulyukayev said that the Russian economy has passed the “bottom” at the end of the second quarter of 2015, and this year we can expect the correction of the economic situation for the better. He predicted in January that that scenario, the average annual oil price of $ 40 per barrel, Russia’s GDP will decline less than 1% in 2016.
