->

Athens, 12 July 2015, 11:12 – REGNUM an extraordinary summit of the European Union has to go tonight, July 12. On Sunday reports Associated Press.

Eight hours of negotiations the Eurogroup (Council of finance ministers of the euro area), with representatives of Greece, together with representatives of the international “troika” of creditors have not yielded any result. The head of the Eurogroup Jeroen Deysselblum said that the next round of talks will be held today at 12:00 Moscow time. Then, on Sunday evening he is to meet EU summit that will decide, based on the recommendations of the Eurogroup, what to do with Greece.

In this situation there are two options: either the European Union agrees with the proposals for the reform of the Greek economy and approve the granting of financial assistance to the third stage; either accept the failure of Greece to fulfill its previous commitments to pay 315 billion. euros, representing 175% of annual GDP. The second option threatens Greece default.

As for the exit of Greece from the euro zone in case of default, then there is no certainty. Greece itself has said that the eurozone is not going to go, but Germany said that if Athens will continue to persist, you should bring Greece out of the euro zone for five years.
